Weighbridge
A weighbridge (truck scale), is a large weighing system designed to measure the entire load of the vehicle (with/without material) found at loading/dispatch sites. These robust installations are crucial for different industrial applications like mining, agriculture, cement, waste management, construction and logistics. It helps to capture precise weight data for inventory management and regulatory compliance. The core components of the weighbridge are sturdy platform (made of steel or concrete) on which vehicle weight is measured. These structures are mounted on highly accurate load cells that sends electrical signal to weight indicator/controller which displays reading of the weighing digitally. There are 3 types of weighbridge- pit-type (ideal for location with limited space), pit-less (requires ramp for the vehicle) and unmanned (automated system). It helps to ensure weight regulations to prevent excess load limit and theft.
